We were delighted to be able to support the Paddock Wood Community Storehouse over Christmas with supplying non perishable items for local families in need.
Unfortunately this is an ongoing problem and not confined to the festive period.
Demand for the services of the Foodbank have risen sharply in recent times and the Foodstore have put out a request:-
“Please could you assist The Paddock Wood Community Storehouse by supplying storage units for our current food stocks? We need additional plastic crates to sort and store tinned goods. Also, if anyone has surplus shelving units that may fit into our limited storage space, they would be greatly appreciated.
Our funds are limited and income has to prioritise rental payments for our premises at the Wesley Centre. As the food bank steadily increases in receiving and distributing amounts of non-perishable food to include in emergency food parcels for people in need of support, managing stock is an increasing challenge. Additional crates and shelves would improve our efficiency.
If anyone is able to help, please contact TCS on firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07582 142948″
If you are local to the Paddock Wood area and able to help with storage or shelving, they’d be very grateful!
